Fenerbahçe will face Olympique Lyonnais in the second leg of the Champions League play-off round. With the first match in Kadıköy ending in a 1-1 draw, the Yellow-Navies will qualify for the Champions League league phase and secure significant revenue if they advance.
1.25 BILLION TL REVENUE FOR FENERBAHÇE
Having already guaranteed 4.3 million euros in revenue by reaching the play-off round, Fenerbahçe will earn approximately 1 billion 252 million TL, including participation and other payments, if they eliminate Lyon.
The Yellow-Navies' earnings in the Champions League will increase further based on the results they achieve in the league phase. A payment of 2.1 million euros will be made for each win, and 700 thousand euros for each draw.
It is estimated that Fenerbahçe's total Champions League revenue could exceed 40 million euros, or approximately 2 billion 246 million TL, depending on their performance.
FIGHTING FOR ADVANCEMENT AGAINST LYON
The match in France will kick off at 22:00 Turkish time. A win for Fenerbahçe in regular time will be enough to advance. In the event of a draw, the match will go to extra time; if the deadlock remains, penalties will determine who advances.
Mert Günok, Çağlar Söyüncü, Marco Asensio, and Kerem Aktürkoğlu will not be able to play for Fenerbahçe.
