Trabzonspor manager Thomas Reis shared his assessments after his team defeated Beşiktaş 2-0 in the closing match of the 8th week of the Trendyol Süper Lig. Describing the match at Papara Park as a "very interesting game," Reis noted that both teams created significant opportunities.
Reis stated that the match could have been decided earlier, saying, "There were important opportunities for both sides. As for us, we had chances to finish the game earlier. But if we evaluate our opponent, they could have found a goal as well."

Reminding that they have secured their third consecutive league victory, Reis emphasized that the team must keep their feet on the ground. Pointing out that earning points is difficult in every match, the German manager noted that they took the field again shortly after their match in Finland.
Describing the intense match schedule with an "English week" analogy, Reis also made a special mention of the fans. Stating that they will need the support of the stands during difficult moments, Reis noted that the atmosphere at Papara Park played an important role in the victory.
Expressing his satisfaction with the team acting together on the pitch, Reis recalled that when he took office, he told them they needed to be "like a family on the field." Reis noted that Beşiktaş also played well and that they achieved the result through transition play.
Stating that they have shortcomings regarding final decisions in the attack, Reis said, "Our final passes perhaps didn't come off very well, but we actually created positions where we could have found goals, where we could have scored more. Today we actually found two goals. We could have scored more."
Reis stated that the team has not yet reached its best level and that they will work on final passes, defense, and attacking organizations. Expressing his satisfaction with the performance of the players who stepped in for the missing ones, Reis stated that it is valuable to win consecutively and finish matches without conceding a goal.
