The second of the races held at the 4.2-kilometer Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli in the city of Rimini has concluded.
Rokit BMW team rider Toprak started the race in first place. The 27-year-old rider, who dropped to 5th place at the start, regained the lead with 14 laps to go.
Increasing the gap in the remaining part of the race, the 2021 champion Toprak secured victory in the second race following his win in the Superpole race. With this result, Toprak reached his 6th race win of the season and the 45th of his career.
Aruba Ducati team riders Nicolo Bulega finished 2nd, while Alvaro Bautista finished 3rd.
Toprak, who took the championship lead yesterday, increased his points to 179, extending the gap between him and his closest rival Bulega to 21 points.
The 5th leg of the Superbike Championship will be held in England on July 13-14.
