Trabzonspor advances to the cup final
Gençlerbirliği and Trabzonspor faced off in the Ziraat Turkish Cup semi-final.
In a match played at Eryaman Stadium that witnessed great excitement, Trabzonspor came from 1-0 down to defeat Gençlerbirliği 2-1 away from home, securing their place in the final.
The goals that secured the final ticket for the burgundy-blues were scored by Arda Çağan Çelik (own goal) in the 78th minute and Ernest Muci in the 90+2nd minute.
The capital city representative's goal was scored by Erk Arda Aslan in the 62nd minute.
With this victory, Trabzonspor managed to book their spot in the final and became Konyaspor's opponent.
The final match, which will be hosted by Antalya, will be played on Friday, May 22.
