Trabzonspor manager Thomas Reis, whose team defeated Galatasaray 4-0 in the 6th week of the Süper Lig, said, "I said it before the match; I have been with the team for a very short time and there was little time to prepare. We talked with the players and prepared a match plan together. I said before the match that we have very experienced players. Fabinho in midfield, Salah... They performed wonderfully, and I think we did a good job in a short time."
Trabzonspor boosted their morale after the Konyaspor match by defeating Galatasaray 4-0 at home in the 6th week of the Trendyol Süper Lig. Muhammed Salah starred for the Bordeaux-Blues, recording three goals and one assist. Manager Thomas Reis made a strong start, reaching a happy ending in his first match with the Black Sea team. With this result, Trabzonspor's points increased to 10, while Cimbom remained at 13 points and maintained their lead. On the other hand, Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk received a straight red card in the 72nd minute, and Lesley Ugochukwu received one in the 87th minute, as the team suffered their first defeat of the league.
Speaking to beIN Sports after the match, Trabzonspor's new manager Reis stated the following:
"First of all, it was a very special and very beautiful week for me. I can say that I got two victories, one with my old team on Monday and one today. It was a special and beautiful week for me. I am proud of the team; we performed very well. We are very happy.
"There was little time to prepare"
I said it before the match; I have been with the team for a very short time and there was little time to prepare. We talked with the players and prepared a match plan together. I said before the match that we have very experienced players. Fabinho in midfield, Salah... They performed wonderfully, and I think we did a good job in a short time.
"There were players who were very tired after the 70th minute"
The situation is actually not very easy. We have many players who will go to the national team, and I think they will get playing time. During the international break, we will work tactically and physically. Today, there were players who were very tired after the 60th-70th minute. We will work on this as well.
"We know Salah's quality and what he can do"
First of all, we know Salah's quality and what he can do. We know how much danger he can create when he has the ball, but today the whole team fought incredibly hard. They fought incredibly hard to create those spaces for him.
The atmosphere here was incredible. I knew the atmosphere. When I was the coach of Samsunspor, the atmosphere was against me. There was a wonderful atmosphere today. I hope we will continue like this."
