Trabzonspor's joker Batista Mendy: Position doesn't matter!

Trabzonspor signed a 4+1 year contract with Batista Mendy, whom they transferred from the French team Angers SCO at the beginning of the season for a fee of 4 million 400 thousand Euros.

Batista Mendy, who was utilized in the defensive midfield position during the tenure of Trabzonspor's former head coach Nenad Bjelica, has played in defense, defensive midfield, and central midfield since Abdullah Avcı took charge of the team. The French player, who has been playing in the center-back position in recent weeks, has served as a defensive midfielder in 11, a center-back in 11, and a central midfielder in 10 of his total 32 matches in the Süper Lig and the Ziraat Turkish Cup.

Trabzonspor Head Coach Abdullah Avcı also signaled that he could play Batista Mendy as a full-back if the need arises.
