The match scheduled to be played between Tractor Sazi and Malavan in Iranian football has come to the fore due to allegations of racist chanting. Tractor Sazi Club announced that its players withdrew from the pitch, stating that Malavan fans were shouting racist slogans at the Sirous Ghayeghran Stadium in Anzali.
In a statement released on the club's official website, it was stated that the incident occurred before the match. The players of Tractor, known in Iran for its Turkish fan base, decided not to take the field in protest against the slogans rising from the stands.
"UGLY SLOGANS WERE SHOUTED"
Tractor President Mohammad Reza Zenouzi also reacted harshly to the events. Zenouzi said, "Unfortunately, the ugliest slogans were shouted in the stands against our players, the Tractor team, and other issues. I have always been in favor of unity, and I do not want to see such things because of football. However, it is impossible to ignore these collective insults."
Zenouzi called on the federation to intervene fairly, emphasizing that such incidents must be prevented. The Tractor President also stated that they would withdraw from the league if the match is registered as a 3-0 forfeit against their team.
