Transfer ban imposed on EuroLeague team Monaco
A transfer ban has been imposed on the French representative competing in the EuroLeague, Monaco.
The French team Monaco, which competes in the EuroLeague, has announced that it has been banned from registering new players and coaches due to violations of financial regulations.
In a statement released by the French club, it was noted that the ban, which "temporarily" restricts the team from registering new players or coaches for EuroLeague competitions, is entirely procedural and does not constitute a sanction or a final decision.
The statement emphasized, "The club wishes to highlight that it has always fulfilled all requirements set by EuroLeague Basketball and other governing bodies with full transparency and good faith. AS Monaco Basket has maintained a solid financial position and has fulfilled all its obligations to all its corporate partners on time."
In a statement from the EuroLeague, it was emphasized that the reason for imposing the transfer ban on Monaco was "related to overdue payables, failure to provide necessary documentation, and a lack of cooperation."
