Transfer statement from Barış Alper's agent
Tuncay Maldan, the agent for Galatasaray player Barış Alper, stated that NEOM has not yet made its final offer, noting that a record fee for a Turkish footballer is on the table.
While the transfer status of Galatasaray player Barış Alper remains uncertain, his agent Tuncay Maldan has made significant statements. In his comments to Beyaz Futbol, Maldan indicated that NEOM has not yet submitted its final offer and that negotiations are ongoing. "A record fee for a Turkish footballer could be in question," Maldan said.
Maldan stated that NEOM's interest began about a month ago and that during this period, Barış Alper performed well in two important matches. However, he said that the figures appearing in the press do not reflect the truth and are illogical.
Stating that Barış Alper's current salary is around 2 million Euros, Maldan expressed that no agreement has been reached between the clubs yet, and therefore, terms have not been discussed. "Barış immediately rejected the offers that came after the European Championship," Maldan said.
Noting that Barış Alper's morale has been affected by the prolonged transfer process, Maldan said that the player discussed his decision not to attend training sessions with Coach Okan and preferred to rest during this period. Emphasizing that Barış Alper is a well-liked player within the team, Maldan stated that the lack of clarity in the process has affected the player mentally.
