Transfer twist: United wants Delap instead of Osimhen

According to a report by NTV Spor; Athletic reporter David Ornstein stated in his comments to NBC Sports before the Arsenal-Crystal Palace match that Manchester United is not interested in Osimhen. Ornstein indicated that Manchester United's priority for a striker transfer is Liam Delap from Ipswich Town.

Regarding Manchester United's transfer plans, Ornstein said, 'They want to strengthen their attacking line in the summer transfer window. They are searching for striker and number 10 positions. For the number 10 role, they are considering Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton. Cunha has a release clause of 65 million Pounds, and they need to agree on personal terms for the transfer to happen.'

On the subject of the striker transfer, Ornstein added, 'Their primary candidate is Liam Delap from Ipswich Town. If Ipswich is relegated, Delap's 30 million Pound release clause will be activated. Other clubs, including Chelsea, are also interested in Delap. However, Delap will make his decision before the U21 European Championship. Manchester United has not included Osimhen on their transfer list and will focus on other candidates.'
