Tunisian tennis player Jabeur to donate part of her WTA Finals prize money to Palestinians
Tunisian tennis player Ons Jabeur, competing in the WTA Finals organized by the Women's Tennis Association, has announced that she will donate a portion of her prize money from the tournament to Palestinians due to Israel's attacks on Gaza.
Jabeur, who could not hold back her tears after her match at the WTA Finals yesterday, said she would donate a portion of her prize money from the event to Palestinians.
The Tunisian tennis player stated, "It is very difficult, heartbreaking to see children and babies dying every day. I have decided to donate a portion of my prize money to help the Palestinians."
The 29-year-old Jabeur, ranked world number 7 in women's singles, added, "It is frustrating to watch the videos every day. I don't have a political message here, it is just a humanitarian reaction."
