Turkey achieves its best-ever result at the Paralympic Games
Turkey finished the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games in 23rd place in the medal standings, achieving its best-ever result. Turkey won 6 gold, 10 silver, and 12 bronze medals at the games.
The competitions at the games, which began on August 28 in the French capital Paris, have concluded. Turkey finished the games, where it broke records, in 23rd place with 6 gold, 10 silver, and 12 bronze medals. Having placed 45th at Tokyo 2020, Turkey achieved its best-ever ranking in the medal standings in the history of the Paralympic Games at Paris 2024.
Turkey became the 15th country to win the most medals among the 182 nations participating in the games. The crescent-and-star team, which was 25th in this ranking at Tokyo 2020, was among the most successful countries with a total of 28 medals.
The top of the medal standings was once again held by China, just as it was at Tokyo 2020. China finished the games in first place with 220 medals, including 94 gold, 76 silver, and 50 bronze. While 85 different countries experienced the joy of winning medals at the games, 67 countries won gold medals.
