Turkey breaks Paralympic Games medal record

Turkey has reached its highest medal count in Paralympic history by winning its 16th medal at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. Following this record, Turkey's medal count rose to 20 with medals won by the Women's Goalball National Team, the recurve mixed team, Cahide Eke, and para table tennis player Kübra Korkut.

Experiencing its best Paralympic Games in history in the French capital Paris and breaking a medal record, Turkey succeeded in winning 7 medals on the ninth day of the games, including 1 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze.

Surpassing the 15 medals won at Tokyo 2020 with 3 days left in the games in Paris, Turkey now has a total of 20 medals, consisting of 3 gold, 10 silver, and 7 bronze.

Today, the Women's Goalball National Team brought gold to Turkey, while the para archery duo of Sadık Savaş and Merve Nur Eroğlu, para table tennis player Kübra Korkut, and para powerlifter Besra Duman won silver, and para judokas Ecem Taşım Çavdar and Cahide Eke, along with para table tennis player Ebru Acer, won bronze medals.

Turkey, which is the 15th country to win the most medals in the games so far, is currently in 25th place in the overall medal standings.
