Turkish champion weightlifter Sena Nur Özoğlu handed 3-year ban
Sena Nur Özoğlu, who won the gold medal in the women's 64kg category at the 2024 Turkish Weightlifting Championships, has been handed a 3-year ban for doping.
In a statement released on the Turkish Anti-Doping Commission's website, the reason cited for the penalty was the article covering violations of "evading, refusing or failing to submit to sample collection."
Accordingly, Sena Nur Özoğlu will be unable to participate in weightlifting activities for 3 years, effective from February 20, 2024.
