Turkish National Football Team rises in FIFA rankings
The Turkish National Football Team, which will compete in the play-off round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, has moved up one spot to 25th place in the November world rankings announced by FIFA today, with a total of 1,582 points.
The Crescent-Stars have thus reached their highest position in the FIFA rankings since June 2017.
The national team last held the 25th spot in the FIFA rankings announced on June 1, 2017, during the period when Fatih Terim served as head coach.
In the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifier matches played in November, the Turkish National Football Team defeated Bulgaria 2-0 in Bursa and subsequently drew 2-2 away against Spain, the number 1 team in the FIFA rankings.
