Turkish National Football Team wins friendly match with 2 goals

Continuing their preparations for the FIFA World Cup in the USA, the Turkish National Football Team faced Venezuela in their final friendly match at Inter Miami FC Stadium. The national team won the match 2-1 after finishing the first half in a 1-1 draw. The goals for Turkey were scored by Barış Alper Yılmaz in the 44th minute and Yunus Akgün in the 54th minute. Venezuela's goal was scored by Gleiker Mendoza in the 13th minute.

The Crescent-Stars had previously defeated North Macedonia 4-0 in their first friendly match held in Istanbul. The red-and-whites thus emerged victorious from both matches played during this preparation period.

Following the match, the national team will head to Mesa, Arizona, which is their main base camp for the World Cup.

Kerem Aktürkoğlu, who was injured during the training sessions in Istanbul, played his first match against Venezuela after completing his treatment. Kerem entered the game in the 62nd minute, replacing Deniz Gül.
