Turks in Los Angeles protest national football team delegation: 'Incompetent ones, go back to the country'
The A National Football Team, which arrived in the United States for its final Group D match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, was met with protests upon reaching Los Angeles.
The A National Football Team, set to play its final group match against the USA, traveled to Los Angeles following its training camp in Arizona. After leaving their hotel, the players and technical staff flew to Los Angeles and traveled by bus to the hotel where they will be staying.
According to the report by Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, Turkish fans waiting around the hotel expressed their reactions toward head coach Vincenzo Montella and Turkish Football Federation President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu. The fans voiced their dissatisfaction loudly, chanting slogans such as “Montella go home!”, “Incompetent ones, go back to the country,” and “Shame on you.”

The national team will continue its preparations for the USA match with training sessions in Los Angeles. The critical match between Turkey and the USA will be played on Friday, June 26, at 05:00 Turkish time.
