Following the results in the UEFA Nations League A, the National Football Team, which has parted ways with head coach Vincenzo Montella, continues its search for a new manager. It has been suggested that the Turkish Football Federation is focusing on a temporary formula for the short-term schedule.
According to a report by Sabah, after failing to reach a positive outcome in talks with Arda Turan, the TFF has begun evaluating the option of appointing a domestic head coach for the Belgium and France matches. In this context, it is claimed that the name on the federation's agenda is Şenol Güneş.

According to the claim, the plan is based on the national team playing the two critical Nations League matches with an experienced coach before making a permanent head coach selection. The National Team had not earned any points in the 4 matches it played in the group.
74-year-old Şenol Güneş experienced a third-place finish in the 2002 World Cup while at the helm of the National Team. The experienced coach later left his national team post, which he had resumed in 2019, in 2021; he most recently managed Trabzonspor.
No official statement has been made by the TFF regarding the aforementioned claim. The decision on which head coach the national team will take to the Belgium and France matches is expected to become clear in the coming period.
