Two stars injured at Beşiktaş!
Beşiktaş has announced that Rachid Ghezzal and Milot Rashica were injured following the Ziraat Turkish Cup semi-final second leg match against Ankaragücü.
Beşiktaş, which has remained far from the title race in the Süper Lig this season, advanced to the final by defeating Ankaragücü 1-0 in the Ziraat Turkish Cup.
Rachid Ghezzal and Milot Rashica were injured during the match.
In a statement released by the Black and White club, it was stated that Ghezzal was diagnosed with a strain and edema at the muscle-tendon junction of his right posterior thigh, while Rashica was found to have a strain and edema in his left upper inner thigh muscle.
The statement from Beşiktaş included the following remarks:
"Following an MRI scan at Acıbadem Altunizade Hospital for our player Rachid Ghezzal, who could not continue the match our Football A Team played against MKE Ankaragücü due to pain in his right posterior thigh, a strain and edema were detected at the muscle-tendon junction of the right posterior thigh (semitendinosus).
Following an MRI scan at Acıbadem Altunizade Hospital for our player Milot Rashica, who felt pain in his left upper inner thigh during the MKE Ankaragücü match, a strain and edema were detected in his left upper inner thigh muscle (pectineus).
Treatment for Rachid Ghezzal and Milot Rashica has been initiated by our medical team."
