UEFA: European Super League ruling indicates a technical deficiency, not approval

UEFA, in its statement, emphasized that the European Court of Justice's ruling on the European Super League case does not mean the European Super League has been approved, stating, "UEFA is confident in the robustness of its rules and specifically that they comply with all European laws."

The statement further noted that the European Court of Justice evaluated FIFA and UEFA rules and concluded that these rules lacked a structure requiring them to be transparent, objective, non-discriminatory, and proportionate. It was emphasized that UEFA's rules are robust and compliant with European laws.

Recalling the European Super League initiative, it was stated that this initiative, launched in 2021 with the participation of Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Tottenham, Milan, Inter, Juventus, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, and Real Madrid, was harshly criticized by FIFA and UEFA, and that these clubs subsequently withdrew. UEFA and FIFA had threatened to impose sanctions on the three clubs that did not withdraw.
