UEFA fines Beşiktaş
Beşiktaş has announced that UEFA has imposed a 900,000 Euro fine for violating the squad cost rule.
In a statement made by the Beşiktaş club to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), it was stated: "As a result of the review conducted by the UEFA Club Financial Control Body within the scope of the UEFA Club Licensing and Financial Sustainability Regulations, it has been determined that our company violated the squad cost rule for the period of 01.12.2023-30.11.2024.
As a result of this violation, an administrative fine of 900,000 Euros has been imposed on our company by UEFA.
The legal appeal process regarding the decision is ongoing at the Appeals Chamber of the UEFA Club Financial Control Body. Further information will be provided to the public once the legal process is completed."
