UEFA penalties for Fenerbahçe following Lyon match: Guendouzi out for Roma, Greenwood cleared to play
UEFA has announced its disciplinary decisions regarding the Lyon-Fenerbahçe match. Guendouzi will be sidelined for two matches, while Greenwood will be eligible to play in the Roma match.
The UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body has announced its decisions regarding Fenerbahçe players Mason Greenwood and Matteo Guendouzi following the Olympique Lyonnais-Fenerbahçe match.
The board handed Mason Greenwood a 30,000 euro fine and a suspended one-match ban. In line with this decision, it was stated that Greenwood will be able to play in Fenerbahçe's match against Roma.
Matteo Guendouzi was given a 50,000 euro fine and a four-match ban. Two matches of the suspension will be served this season, while the remaining two-match portion will be subject to a one-year probationary period. Consequently, Guendouzi will not be able to take the field in the Roma match.
