UEFA accepts Turkey's joint EURO 2032 bid application with Italy for evaluation
UEFA has announced that Turkey has withdrawn its bid for EURO 2028 and that the joint bid with Italy to host EURO 2032 has been taken under evaluation.
According to the statement made by UEFA, Turkey's application to withdraw from the EURO 2028 bid has been accepted. The joint application by Turkey and Italy to host EURO 2032 has been taken under evaluation.
Following Turkey's withdrawal, there are no remaining rivals to the joint bid by the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland for hosting EURO 2028.
UEFA is expected to announce its final decision regarding the host of EURO 2028 and the candidates for EURO 2032 following the executive committee meeting to be held in Nyon, Switzerland, on Tuesday, October 10.
The Turkish Football Federation had previously announced that it would withdraw its EURO 2028 bid if its EURO 2032 bid application was accepted.
