UEFA to pay 31.5 million euros to 611 clubs that sent players to national teams
UEFA has announced the details of solidarity payments to be made to clubs that sent players to national teams in the 2024-2025 Nations League.
UEFA has announced that a total of 31.5 million euros will be paid to clubs that sent players to national teams competing in the Nations League during the 2024-2025 season.
According to the statement, the payment will cover 611 clubs affiliated with UEFA member associations. This amount will be part of the 104 million euro fund allocated for clubs that send players to national teams for the 2024-2025 and 2026-2027 UEFA Nations League and the UEFA EURO 2028 Qualifiers.
UEFA stated that clubs will be paid 3,845 euros per match for each eligible player included in the national team squad for Nations League and European Championship qualifying matches. For the EURO 2028 finals, the payment will be calculated on a daily basis per player.
The statement noted that the club receiving the highest payment is RB Leipzig. The German representative topped the list with 353 thousand euros for sending 16 players to the tournament.
