Uğur Dündar compares Eray Yazgan to a 'hooligan in an executive's guise'

Fenerbahçe High Council Board President Uğur Dündar responded to the statements made by Galatasaray General Secretary Eray Yazgan. Following Eray Yazgan's remarks, Uğur Dündar issued a statement on social media, noting that he was returning the words to the person who attacked him, and stated that despite the insults directed at him, he had not engaged in such an attack himself.

Uğur Dündar's statement on his social media account is as follows:

"I return the words in kind to the hooligan in an executive's guise who attacked and targeted me, despite the fact that I have not said a single bad word about them."

Eray Yazgan had used the following expressions in his statement:

"Last night, one of our members and his 14-year-old daughter were attacked by a group of approximately 40 people as they were leaving our Galatasaray Women's Volleyball Team match. These bandits, who stooped so low as to hit a little girl, also seized the banners our siblings were holding. If a traffic police officer had not happened to be passing by, we might be talking about irreversible consequences today. Our club will never stop pursuing these looters, their instigators, and those who provoke them through legal channels. While our President emphasized moderation, he was expressing his concern precisely about these and similar potential incidents. However, at the same time, Uğur Dündar, the embodiment of the fanaticism we followed in a broadcast last night, and similar bigoted, provocative so-called executives are making efforts to bring events to this point. We will continue to fight against this insidious mentality that considers every path permissible for success. No matter what you do, we will pull out the seeds of hatred you have sown in this country one by one. We will erase the language of hatred you feed on from Turkish sports."
