Umut Nayir set for the UK! Cardiff City interest
Cardiff City manager Erol Bulut has announced that they are interested in Umut Nayir, who is expected to leave Fenerbahçe.
Cardiff City manager Erol Bulut has officially announced their interest in Umut Nayir, who is rumored to be leaving Fenerbahçe.
Aiming to strengthen their squad during the January transfer window, Cardiff City has placed their former player Kieffer Moore and Fenerbahçe's Umut Nayir at the top of their transfer list.
Erol Bulut stated that these transfers are in the final stages, while noting that nothing has been finalized yet. Mentioning that Umut Nayir was one of the players they wanted at the beginning of the season, Bulut expressed that they also want to complete the transfer of Kieffer Moore.
The Cardiff City manager indicated that the transfer process could move quickly or potentially extend into next week, adding that they could add one or two more players to the squad in addition to Umut Nayir. However, Bulut emphasized that all these processes take time and they cannot focus on just one player.
Under the management of Erol Bulut, Cardiff City currently sits in 9th place with 37 points after 26 weeks in the English Championship. Umut Nayir was promoted to the Süper Lig with Ümraniyespor last season and subsequently transferred to Fenerbahçe.
