VAR recording for Week 18 of the Super Lig released: Fenerbahçe-Hatayspor
The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has released the VAR recording of the Fenerbahçe-Atakaş Hatayspor match played in the 18th week of the Trendyol Super Lig.
The TFF shared the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) recording of the Fenerbahçe - Hatayspor match played in the 18th week of the Super Lig on its YouTube account with audio and video.
Following a Fenerbahçe attack in the 90+2nd minute of the match, referee Oğuzhan Çakır received a warning from the VAR for a 'potential penalty review'.
Coming to the sideline, Çakır reviewed the incident between Sebastian Szymanski and Oğuzhan Matur inside the penalty area, and the conversations in the VAR room were as follows:
VAR: "When you first come to the screen, you will see the angle where he pulls the jersey."
Oğuzhan Çakır: "Is there an obvious goal-scoring opportunity?"
VAR: "Stop again. They pulled the jersey"
Oğuzhan Çakır: "There is no ball control"
Oğuzhan Çakır: "Can you show me from a wide angle whether there is an obvious goal-scoring opportunity?"
AVAR: "There is a challenge for the ball"
VAR: "Give the angle where he pulls the jersey again"
Oğuzhan Çakır: "Show the pull, coach"
VAR: "Stop right at the pull, stop here"
Oğuzhan Çakır: "Penalty, I am giving a yellow card"
VAR: "Understood"
Oğuzhan Çakır: "Number 31 is doing it."
Returning to the pitch, referee Çakır pointed to the penalty spot.
