Verstappen wins F1 Miami Grand Prix sprint race

The Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix is underway. The sprint race, held ahead of the 6th round of the season, was contested over 19 laps on the 5.4-kilometer track that shares its name with the city of Miami.

Verstappen, the champion of the last three years, started from pole position and saw the checkered flag first, adding 8 points to his tally.

Ferrari's Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc finished second, 3.371 seconds behind the leader, while Verstappen's Mexican teammate Sergio Perez took third place, 5.095 seconds behind.
