While the first half ended 2-0, the majority of the second 45 minutes passed with this scoreline. Jeremy Doku reduced the deficit to 1 for Manchester City with a goal in the 87th minute.
With no further goals in the remaining minutes of the match, Manchester United left the pitch with a 2-1 victory and secured the championship. Manchester United defeated their arch-rivals Manchester City 2-1 in the F.A. Cup final to take the trophy to their cabinet for the 13th time.
Manchester United last won the F.A. Cup title in the 2015/16 season.
