Sports commentator Sabri Ugan, remembered for the Champions League matches he once hosted, has announced that he is undergoing cancer treatment.
Sad news has arrived from sports commentator Sabri Ugan.
Ugan, who has not been active on social media for a long time, announced that he is receiving treatment for cancer.
Sharing details about his treatment process, Ugan said, "You haven't seen me on social media for about three months. I have serious health problems. This is not my story, but the story of the 11th floor. A diagnosis was made. It is one of the most severe illnesses. I am holding on to life tightly."
Stating that he has completed his first round of chemotherapy, the 62-year-old Ugan recounted his experiences while crying.
WHO IS SABRİ UGAN?
Sabri Ugan was born in Sakarya in 1963. He began his career as a reporter at Sakarya Gazetesi in 1985 and became the sports editor in 1991. While working at the newspaper, he started his career as a commentator by calling a Sakaryaspor match. Due to his successful commentary, Kanal 6 transferred him as an editor in 1994. From there, he moved to Star TV. There, he provided commentary for many important matches involving Turkish teams in the Süper Lig, Champions League, and UEFA Europa League. Later, Ugan left the Doğan Group and worked for many channels. In addition to football, Sabri Ugan, who has also worked as a commentator in other sports, is the author of a book titled "Arda Turan: Lion-Hearted Captain."
