Tension at the Beşiktaş Board of Trustees meeting: Hasan Arat arrives, chaos ensues
A dispute broke out between former president Hasan Arat and Board of Trustees President Tevfik Yamantürk at the Beşiktaş Board of Trustees meeting.
The 2025 1st Ordinary Board of Trustees Meeting of Beşiktaş Club was held at the Anadolu Auditorium of the Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar Congress and Exhibition Center. An incident that occurred before the meeting drew attention.
HASAN ARAT AND TEVFİK YAMANTÜRK FACE OFF
Among those attending the meeting was one of the club's former presidents, Hasan Arat. However, shortly before the meeting began, a verbal argument broke out between Arat and Board of Trustees President Tevfik Yamantürk.
Former President Hasan Arat shouted at Tevfik Yamantürk in an angry manner, saying, "You shameless man!" Yamantürk did not remain silent in the face of these words and responded with the phrases, "You are the shameless one, you are ill-mannered! You are insolent!"
GENERAL ASSEMBLY MEMBERS INTERVENED
General assembly members intervened to prevent the tension from escalating. With both individuals being calmed down, the argument ended without growing further.
