Visa shock for TRT Spor reporter ahead of Beşiktaş match
Ahead of Beşiktaş's European test against St. Patrick's, a TRT Spor reporter was denied a visa by Ireland. Levent Özçelik announced the development during a live broadcast.
A notable development occurred ahead of the match where Beşiktaş will face Irish side St. Patrick's in the UEFA Conference League 3rd Qualifying Round. TRT Spor's plan to cover the match from the field was blocked by a visa issue.
TRT Spor's experienced announcer Levent Özçelik stated in a live broadcast that the organization wanted to send a reporter to Ireland, but the visa application was rejected. Following this development, updates regarding the match will be relayed to viewers from Turkey.
Speaking during the live broadcast, Özçelik said, "After the opponent was determined, we had requests to send a reporter to Ireland. But there is a problem with obtaining visas for the island. Therefore, we could not send a reporter there. We cannot get the latest developments there directly, but we will broadcast the press conference via Anadolu Agency or the Beşiktaş YouTube channel."

While the black-and-white team completes their final preparations on the field, the fact that members of the press will not be able to follow the match on-site due to the visa problem has drawn criticism. Current information regarding the match will be brought to viewers through alternative channels as stated by the broadcaster.
