Ahead of the critical derby, which also closely concerns the title race, Fenerbahçe's former head coach Vitor Pereira made statements.

Speaking to Fanatik, Pereira said that the derby is at a level that will determine the championship.

Stating that the winner of the Fenerbahçe-Galatasaray derby will gain a psychological advantage, Pereira said, "This derby is at a level that will determine who reaches the happy ending at the end of the season."

Discussing the impact Edin Dzeko and Mauro Icardi will have on the derby, Vitor Pereira said, "We are talking about very high-level players.
