The new team of goalkeeper Vozinha, who drew attention while playing for Cape Verde in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, has been confirmed. Chilean representative Colo Colo announced that they have signed an official contract with the 40-year-old shot-stopper.

In a statement from the club, it was noted that the experienced goalkeeper passed his medical examinations and the transfer process has been completed. Colo Colo also announced the signing to its fans through a post on its social media account.

Vozinha, whose full name is Josimar Jose Evora Dias, played a significant role in Cape Verde advancing from the group stage with the saves he made during the World Cup. His performance in the tournament quickly made the experienced goalkeeper one of the most talked-about names in the football world.

Vozinha's rise on the pitch was also reflected on social media. It was reported that his number of followers on Instagram, which was around 50 thousand before the tournament, reached approximately 30 million after the World Cup.

Throughout his career, Vozinha has played in different leagues outside his home country, serving in Angola, Moldova, Portugal, Southern Cyprus, and Slovakia. The experienced goalkeeper previously took the field for Zimbru, Gil Vicente, AEL Limassol, Trencin, and most recently, Chaves.
