Fenerbahçe will host Corendon Alanyaspor in the 8th week of the Trendyol Süper Lig. The Yellow-Navies will look to bounce back in the league following their 6-0 defeat away to Aston Villa in the UEFA Champions League during the week.
The Fenerbahçe-Alanyaspor match will be played on Saturday, October 17, at Chobani Stadium. The match, which will start at 19:00, will be broadcast live on beIN Sports 1.
Referee Çağdaş Altay will officiate the match. Bahtiyar Birinci and Samet Çiçek will serve as his assistants.
LATEST STATUS OF THE YELLOW-NAVIES
Having won their last two league matches by large margins, Fenerbahçe continued their pursuit of the top spot by first defeating Eyüpspor 8-0 at home, followed by a 3-0 away victory against Çaykur Rizespor. The Yellow-Navies are 3 points behind the leader.
The only absentee for Fenerbahçe ahead of the Alanyaspor match is Mert Müldür. The national footballer, who has been away from the pitch for a long time due to surgery, will not be in the squad for this match either.
It is expected that head coach İsmail Kartal will utilize Marco Asensio against Alanyaspor, after he was left out of the squad for the Aston Villa match due to a knee injury. It was also stated that N’Golo Kante, who did not play in the match in England due to a blow to his knee, could also feature.
Fenerbahçe and Alanyaspor will face each other for the 21st time in the Süper Lig. In the previous 20 matches, Fenerbahçe has secured 12 victories, while 5 matches ended in a draw. Alanyaspor has left the pitch victorious 3 times.
In the 10 league matches played between the two teams in Istanbul, Fenerbahçe has achieved 5 wins, while 4 matches ended in a draw. Alanyaspor has only one victory in Istanbul. Fenerbahçe suffered its last league defeat against Alanyaspor on October 24, 2021, in Kadıköy with a score of 2-1.
