Beşiktaş, which lost one of its biggest goals of the season after being eliminated by Konyaspor in the cup semi-finals, was shaken by chants of 'resign' rising from the stands. Following this tension at Dolmabahçe, all eyes have turned to both manager Sergen Yalçın's decision and the potential steps the board might take.
SERGEN YALÇIN AWAITS THE END OF THE SEASON
It has been learned that Sergen Yalçın, who became the target of fans following the final whistle of the Konyaspor match, had decided to resign. While the board intervened to persuade Yalçın to abandon this decision, it is being discussed behind the scenes that the experienced coach is considering parting ways for the remainder of the season, particularly after the Trabzonspor match.
Although the Beşiktaş board wants to continue with Yalçın under current conditions, they have already prepared a list of alternative managers to be prepared for a possible change.
THE ONLY TURKISH MANAGER ON THE LIST
Most of the managers on the black-and-white club's agenda consist of foreign names. However, Arda Turan's name stands out as the only Turkish coach before the board. Currently having a successful season with Ukrainian League side Shakhtar Donetsk and marching toward a league title with his team, Arda Turan is also making a name for himself by reaching the semi-finals of the UEFA Conference League.
The 34-year-old young manager's dynamic and modern football philosophy has caught the attention of the Beşiktaş board, and it is stated that he is the primary option should the community wish to continue with a Turkish name.
