Brazilian defender Thiago Silva, who plays for English Premier League side Chelsea, has announced that he will leave the team at the end of the season.
39-year-old Brazilian defender Thiago Silva, who was signed by London club Chelsea from Paris Saint-Germain in 2020, said that he has been wearing the Chelsea jersey for four years, having originally arrived with the intention of staying for only one.
Stating that the love he feels for Chelsea is indescribable, Silva said, "This club means so much to me. Even under normal circumstances, saying goodbye is difficult, but it is even harder when there is mutual love. But once a 'Blue', always a 'Blue'."
The experienced center-back, who has made 151 appearances for the capital club, won the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup titles during his time there.
