Wout Weghorst's Beşiktaş confession!
Former Beşiktaş player Wout Weghorst made significant remarks. Regarding his time at Beşiktaş, Weghorst said, 'I experienced a passion with the fans in Istanbul that cannot be compared to anything else.'
Former Beşiktaş star Wout Weghorst has made flash statements.
In his statement, Weghorst said, "I have always adapted to everything very quickly. No matter the level, I have been able to compete almost everywhere immediately. When I came to the Eredivisie in the Netherlands, there were really a lot of star players in the Heracles Almelo squad. There were many people who said I wouldn't succeed and that I wasn't good enough. I have always fought against this. My path was not easy, but there was no other alternative for me."
Evaluating his World Cup performance, the Dutch player stated, "Playing in the World Cup was a crazy situation for me. Even though we lost to Argentina on penalties, it was a very important moment for me. I had entered the game when we were 2-0 down, but everything went very well for me."
Touching on the argument he had with Lionel Messi, the star player said, "When I step onto the pitch, I don't care who is in front of me. I reached out my hand to him at the end of the match, but he didn't accept it. Then he suddenly started to react. This is not a problem for me. I see such a great player getting angry at me as a compliment."
Speaking about his time at Beşiktaş, Weghorst said, "I had many experiences. I grew and developed a lot, not just as a player but as a person. I played in the Premier League for the first time with Burnley and realized my dream. In Istanbul, I experienced a passion with the fans that cannot be compared to anything else. Then the chance to play for Manchester United came, and another childhood dream of mine came true."
