Yamal wins Kopa Trophy: Arda Güler finishes second
Lamine Yamal has won the Kopa Trophy, awarded to the best-performing player under the age of 21.
The winner of the Kopa Trophy, awarded to the world's best young footballer, is FC Barcelona's 17-year-old star Lamine Yamal.
Lamine Yamal secured the award by finishing ahead of fellow nominees Arda Güler, Kobbie Mainoo, Savinho, and Pau Cubarsi.
National team player Arda Güler, who was among those competing for the award, placed 2nd behind Yamal.
The 17-year-old star celebrated winning the EURO 2024 championship with the Spanish National Team last summer.
Lamine Yamal has recorded 6 goals and 7 assists in 14 appearances for Barcelona this season.
