Yunus Akgün departs Leicester City
National football player Yunus Akgün, who was loaned from Galatasaray to the English club Leicester City for the 2023-2024 season, has bid farewell to the club following the conclusion of the season.
In a statement on his social media account, 23-year-old Yunus Akgün said the following:
"I would like to thank everyone at the club, the coaches, my teammates, my physiotherapists, and everyone who helped make me a better player. I wish you success in the new season."
In his statement, Yunus Akgün also included the following message for Leicester City fans: "Dear fans, thank you for believing in me, supporting me for 90 minutes, and being a source of energy for me."
Galatasaray had loaned the national player to Leicester City at the beginning of last season with a conditional mandatory purchase option.
