In a statement regarding the matter on the Yellow-Reds' social media account, it was stated: "Our valued footballer Yunus Akgün underwent a successful hernia operation today at our sponsor hospital, Acıbadem. We extend our best wishes for a speedy recovery to our player, who underwent a successful operation by general surgery specialist Prof. Dr. Metin Ertem, and we hope to see him return to the pitch as soon as possible."
