Yusuf Demir's transfer to Elche cancelled
The transfer of Galatasaray player Yusuf Demir to Elche has been cancelled due to a disagreement over salary.
Elche, which was recently promoted to Spain's La Liga, made attempts to add 22-year-old Yusuf Demir, who plays for Galatasaray, to its squad, but the transfer did not materialize. Elche offered 900 thousand Euros to Demir, who earns 1.6 million Euros annually from Galatasaray. When Galatasaray demanded that the player's entire salary be covered, the transfer negotiations ended without a result.
Yusuf Demir failed to display the expected performance during his three years at Galatasaray and played in only 13 matches in the Süper Lig. It is known that Elche made an intense effort to add Demir, who gained La Liga experience at Barcelona in the autumn of 2021, to its squad.
