Yusuf Dikeç responds to negative comments about his mother

Yusuf Dikeç, who won a silver medal for our country alongside Şevval İlayda Tarhan at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, became the most talked-about name of the Olympics.

Dikeç, who shot without specialized equipment and became iconic for his posture while shooting, shared a photo with his mother on his X account.

Ugly comments were made on the photo shared by Dikeç, who captioned the post "My most precious."

Dikeç broke his silence following the comments.

Speaking to Sabah, Yusuf Dikeç responded to the negative comments made about his mother by citing Atatürk's mother as an example:

"Let them look at the photo of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's mother, Zübeyde Hanım. What difference do they see compared to that photo? I don't let it bother me. We have work to do. But we will not surrender to this mentality either. Our country will achieve even greater things.

I always say this: May God never let the love of mother and the love of country be missing from the hearts of this country's youth. Because those who are ashamed of their mother will also be ashamed of their country. Those who do not love their mother cannot love their country either."
