It has emerged that the transfer of Fenerbahçe's Slovenian midfielder Miha Zajc almost happened in the previous period.
Acun Ilıcalı stated that they were interested in Miha Zajc when he bought Hull City, but the player wanted to stay at Fenerbahçe.
Ilıcalı signaled that he could make a new move for Zajc, saying, "Perhaps he might want to come to Maribor. We are also always interested in him at Hull," he said.
Ilıcalı used the following expressions regarding the subject:
"When I took over Hull City, my first target was Zajc, but unfortunately, he decided to stay at Fenerbahçe. I am also a bit lucky because I am a Fenerbahçe fan myself. We will see what happens in the future.
When we take our project in Slovenia to the step of realizing it with Slovenian players, perhaps he might want to come to Maribor. We are also always interested in him at Hull."
