Zidane’s comments on Turkey: They are not where they deserve to be, it will be a tough match

France head coach Zinedine Zidane, who will face Turkey in the UEFA Nations League A Group 1, made striking assessments about the Turkish team during the pre-match press conference.

Speaking at Kocaeli Stadium alongside midfielder Adrien Rabiot, Zidane emphasized that Turkey is a strong team and said that a challenging battle awaits France.

Recalling that it has been 32 years since he first joined the French national team as a player, Zidane stated that he continues to carry the same excitement. The French coach expressed that the team's goal is to win another trophy.

Touching on the preparation process, Zidane said they have held three training sessions so far. The experienced coach stated that being the center of attention does not bother him, adding, "The team will play tomorrow, and we, as the entire coaching staff and the team, are thinking about winning."

Responding to a question about young players, Zidane stated that the French national team is open to everyone. Expressing his confidence in the new players who have joined the team, Zidane noted that those who find the opportunity to play can take France to better places.

Zidane also used words of praise for national footballer Arda Güler, who plays for his former club Real Madrid. The French coach assessed, "Arda is a very, very good player, I like him. I am happy that he plays for Real Madrid."
