Mohammed Al-Nasser, Vice President of Saudi Pro League club Al-Shabab, announced that they wanted to sign Hakim Ziyech from Galatasaray but were unsuccessful.
Speaking to the Saudi press about why the transfer did not materialize, Mohammed Al-Nasser stated, "We spent our budget during the last summer transfer window. That is why we could not complete the Hakim Ziyech transfer."

Hakim Ziyech, who suffered an injury while playing for the Morocco national team during the Africa Cup of Nations, will be sidelined for 1 month.
Ziyech, who was transferred from Chelsea at the beginning of the season and has a contract until June 30, 2024, has recorded 4 goals and 2 assists in the 14 matches he has played this season.
