New details on the execution regulation announced: 8 thousand terrorist organization members to be released

Legal regulation efforts initiated following the PKK's decision to lay down arms and disband have brought the release of terrorist organization members in prisons to the agenda.

The commission to be established in October will address changes such as an execution regulation that would bring amnesty to members of terrorist organizations.

It is stated that with these regulations, 8 thousand people who did not personally participate in the FETÖ coup attempt and did not engage in combat for the PKK could benefit from the amnesty.

DEVA Party Ankara Deputy İdris Şahin made statements regarding the issue while participating in the Başkent Kulisleri program on SÖZCÜ TV.

Şahin said, 'In the initial version of the execution bill, both FETÖ members and those in the mountains would have partially benefited, but President Erdoğan said, "Take them out," and the proposal was changed. There is data suggesting that in total, around 2,500-3,000 PKK members due to organizational membership and over 5,000 from FETÖ would benefit.'
