Time limits for refunds, ticket changes, and converting tickets to open status for ticket office and other sales channel transactions in railway passenger transport have been redefined.

According to the announcement on the official website of the Republic of Türkiye State Railways (TCDD) Taşımacılık AŞ, updates have been made to passenger transport rules.

Within the scope of the regulations, for ticket office transactions, the refund transaction time limit has been increased from the last 5 minutes to 60 minutes, and the time limits for ticket changes and converting to open status have been increased from 15 minutes to 75 minutes.

For other sales channel transactions, the refund transaction time limit, as well as the time limits for ticket changes and converting to open status, have been increased from the last 30 minutes to 75 minutes.

DEDUCTION FOR SAME-DAY REFUNDS SET AT 35 PERCENT

For refund transactions, the deduction rate applied before the day of the trip has been increased from 10 percent to 15 percent, and the deduction rate applied on the day of the trip has been increased from 20 percent to 35 percent.

OPEN TICKETS WILL BE VALID FOR 90 DAYS

The validity period for open ticket vouchers has been reduced from 180 days to 90 days. The validity period of previously created open tickets will continue to be 180 days, and this will also apply to open tickets created after the rule change.
