Tourism plan for Hıdırnebi Plateau in effect: Five-star hotel and new social areas on the way

Located in the Akçaabat district of Trabzon, the Hıdırnebi Plateau is being prepared to become one of the region's key destinations through a new tourism plan and ongoing investments. In the plateau, which attracts particular interest from visitors from Gulf countries, work is being carried out on many fronts, from accommodation to social facility areas.

The tourism plan prepared for the Hıdırnebi Plateau has been approved by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and has entered into force. The plan envisions sports areas, event and recreation areas, picnic areas, daily-use facilities, food and beverage areas, social and cultural facilities, hiking trails, observation points, accommodation units, and hotel zones.

COORDINATION COMPANY ESTABLISHED FOR INVESTMENTS

To implement the plan, the allocation and transfer procedures for the forest and pasture lands within the boundaries have been completed. These areas were transferred from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. To resolve property issues in the region and ensure that investments proceed in a coordinated manner, Hıdırnebi AŞ was established in partnership with the Akçaabat Municipality and the Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality.

Construction of a five-star hotel investment on an area of approximately 100 decares, which was tendered by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, has also begun. The work is expected to contribute to regional tourism.

Arrangement and rehabilitation works have been completed in the Dereçimeni area, where the Hıdırnebi Plateau Festivals, organized annually by the Akçaabat Municipality, are held. It was stated that the renovated area has been made more suitable for both festival organizations and visitor use throughout the year.

The Hıdırnebi Pond and landscaping works carried out by the State Hydraulic Works have also been completed and opened for service. With the living spaces created around the pond, the aim is to increase the social usage capacity of the plateau.

Akçaabat Mayor Osman Nuri Ekim stated that the Hıdırnebi Plateau holds an important position in terms of Akçaabat and Trabzon tourism. Ekim said, "We will continue our work with determination for a Hıdırnebi that offers higher quality service to its visitors while preserving its natural beauty."

With the investments, ongoing projects, and planned new facilities, the Hıdırnebi Plateau is targeted to become one of the prominent centers of Black Sea tourism in the coming years.
