The manufacturer has warned consumers who purchased the products not to consume these cheeses and to return them to the stores where they were bought, noting that refunds will be provided.
The recalled products are as follows:
Kleiner Stinker (thermized, 50% fat content): All expiration dates up to February 24, 2025.
Großer Stinker (thermized, 50% fat content): All expiration dates up to February 10, 2025.
WHAT IS LISTERIA BACTERIA?
Listeria bacteria pose serious health risks, especially for pregnant women and individuals with weakened immune systems.
This bacterium can cause blood poisoning, meningitis, and serious damage to an unborn baby.
While symptoms of a listeria infection include diarrhea and fever, it is recommended that pregnant women consult a doctor even if they do not show symptoms.
